Vasaloppet 2026

Snälltåget will take you to the Vasaloppet on 1st March 2026. The train takes you to Mora, and from there, buses will transport you to Sälen well in time for the start.

Train journey

The train departs from Malmö Central at 13:50 and makes stops in Lund at 14:10, Halmstad at 15:20, Göteborg Mölndal at 16:30, Alingsås at 17:10, Falköping at 17:30, Skövde at 17:50, and Stockholm Central at 21:00. The train arrives in Mora at approximately 03:00, and buses will depart for the starting area in Sälen between 03:15 and 03:45 (the last bus leaves at 03:45).

The return journey departs from Mora at 21:25 and arrives in Stockholm Central at 01:05, Skövde at 04:10, Falköping at 04:35, Alingsås at 05:05, Göteborg Mölndal at 05:50, Halmstad at 07:05, Lund at 08:20, and Malmö Central at 08:40.

Restaurant

The train features a restaurant, which on the journey to Mora is open until 22:00 and from 02:15 to 03:45. On the return journey, the restaurant is open from 18:00 to 24:00 and from 05:30 to 09:30.

The prices below are per compartment for a return trip.

• Price from Stockholm:
  • 7,998 SEK for a private compartment
  • 1,998 SEK for a bed in a shared compartment
• Price from other locations:
  • 9,998 SEK for a private compartment
  • 2,498 SEK for a bed in a shared compartment

Included in the price:

✅ Breakfast on the journey to Mora
✅ Breakfast (for all except Stockholm passengers) on the return journey

Breakfast includes a cheese sandwich, fruit, juice, and a hot drink (hot chocolate, coffee, or tea). In Mora, we also serve porridge in the morning.

Booking

Booking is now open, and you can book online via our website (at the top or on the homepage). Search for the station "Vasaloppet." A return ticket is required to book—one-way tickets are not available.

Ski waxing service

In collaboration with Morchella Waxmasters, we offer ski waxing service onboard the train to Vasaloppet. More information and booking details will be available later.
